Exploring Dallas: Frontier Flight Museum

The other day a mom from Vera's school invited a few families to the Flight Museum. Since Stella is only seven weeks old, we've spent a lot of time at home and Vera was eager to see her friends. So we quickly responded and it turned out that we were the only family able to join, which gave me a lot of time to get to know the other mom. And guess what!? She just happened to move to Dallas from the East Coast and lived only two streets away from our apartment in Cobble Hill. We talked NYC, Dallas, ways to meet friends here and the most pressing issue on my mind lately - schools

Vera also had a great time and learned a lot. We talked about gravity because she loved watching the video of the astronauts floating. Then this weekend we went to the library and there was this book on display. It's perfect for younger kids because it has few words and huge pictures. I wouldn't say that she understands the concepts but she enjoyed the book!

Of course she pretended to fly to New York City. Every time she sees an airplane in the sky she tells me it's going to, "New Ork Ity." Breaks my heart just a little every single time.

Overall, we loved the flight museum and will definitely go back!
